Huang Yucong is a director, actor, cinematographer and musician from China. He graduated from Hong Kong Baptist University's Academy of Film and is now pursuing a Master's degree at Musashino Art University in Japan.

His short film Chekhov's Gun, which he wrote, directed and starred in, won Best Director at the Chongqing Youth Film Festival and Best Editing at the Macau International Short Film Festival. He starred in Damp Season, winner of the Grand Prize at the Jeonju International Film Festival and selected for IFFR and HKIFF. He also shot B-camera on Suburban Birds. Ragtag is his feature directorial debut.

He also writes and produces his own music in Logic Pro, and has scored several of his own films.
